3rd wire on RX bat

What is the voltage on the 3rd wire(grey) on a 4.8 volt RX pack.
Milne broke off and I have to solder it back on and I can't see where it came off.

Thanks
Milt

HI Milto
In the "old days' the servo required the voltage to be split in order for the servos to move in both directions. The third wire is no longer needed in the modern system and is more or less just left on the connector as "support'. So it is not connected to anything. You will get a voltage reading on the black to red wires only

I've never even SEEN a third wire on a Rx battery pack. (And I've owned about two dozen.)

I've heard (unconfirmed) that JR does this because they use the same wire as they use for the servos. That way they don't have to stock 2 different spools of wire.

Like Sky-jacker said, the third wire is not conected to anything.
