FINGERNAIL POLISH QUESTION
I have heard many times at RCU that clear fingernail polish can be used to hold graphics on, that it is fuelproof.
I have what perhaps may be a stupid question but heregoes anyways: Acetone removes polish, but isn't fuel residue and oil stronger than acetone, so why won't they remove the polish? |
RE: FINGERNAIL POLISH QUESTION
I don't understand what you mean by 'fuel oil and residue being stronger than acetone'. They're all very different chemicals. Clear nail polish works.

I hope nobody thinks I assumed the question was stupid! I didn't.

RE: FINGERNAIL POLISH QUESTION
Nope, not stupid at all.
Acetone: very strong stuff!! Nitro: strong stuff!! Alcohol: kinda strong! Oil: nope but given time it will do it's thing to trim and glue. Engine snot: just spent oil mostly but if you don't clean up after flying it will lift trim and covering plus soak into untreated wood. Fingernail polish works pretty well. ;) OH, and never hold A lit match in an inclosed space around fuel!!!!! It can be harmful to your eye brows and other body parts!!! Don't ask!! [&o] |
