mini camera for slo v
ive seen a lot of mini cameras that u could use on a airplane but their only about 300ft range. could someone help me find one for my slo v!!!!????
thanks, austin s |
RE: mini camera for slo v
Depends on what kind of camera are you talking about?
Here's one that'll record video or snapshots on a built in memory card. http://hobby-lobby.com/video-camera.htm If you're looking for one that transmits video to you on the ground, http://hobby-lobby.com/fpv.htm or http://www.fpvvideo.com/products.htm |

The Flycamone v2 is so light that it hardly affects the loading on the plane.
In practise you really don't need the weight of a RF transmitter if you are interested in taking videos. If you want a mini UAV, things are different, but you can get your feet wet at minimal expense with the FlycamOne. After doing so, I'm very glad that I didn't spend the money on a more expensive RF rig, as I found that my interest was satiated by the little camera. Cameras work BEST on electrics because of the lower vibration levels. |

i really want a camera that i can put on it that transmits the feed back to me somehow. one under $80 would be good. also a pretty long distance would be nice.
thanks, austin s |

Heh, at that price? Good luck!
Most of the inexpensive rigs, end up requiring more components and they add weight to the plane. Then there are the interference issues, etc. when the transmitter is too close to the RX antenna. You need a decent distance too, say up to 800ft. |

RE: mini camera for slo v
What did you pay?
He'll still need either goggles or a viewing screen, with power supply, or if he wants to go further a recorder, etc. By the time he's done I somewhat doubt he'll be in his target price range. |
RE: mini camera for slo v
well you could bring a small tv with a video input and hook it up and watch the tv instead of goggles. its like first person view on a plane! haha
i had mine on my blade CX and sat in the family room flying the thing thru the house watching only the tv :D |
RE: mini camera for slo v
How much did you pay for it?
|
RE: mini camera for slo v
i bought it a while ago but i paid like 25 with shipping. now theyre gettin more popular so prices went up slightly.

RE: mini camera for slo v
ive seen alot of those pinhole cameras and they have a range of about 400 ft (in line site). if i get one of those i could hook it up to my flip video camera and watch it and record it on that, or my tv. its just i was really wanting one that would go as far as my plane would. 2500ft (slo v). but it looks like if i want to go that far im going to have to spend over $300 to get a camera goggle system.
thanks anyway, austin s |
