OK, I'm pretty much finished with my Bridi Killer Bee, except for the pushrods. However, when I cut the ailerons, I cut them a little too short (almost 2 inches). Now, the ailerons stop about 2 inches from the fuse, and there is nothing there back to the TE of the wing, all the way to the fuse (see pic). Do I need to get some stock and glue in there to make the wing more uniform all the way to the fuse, or will it matter? Unfortunately, I looked until I was blue in the face and couldn't for the life of me find the aileron stock that I cut off (which would have been perfect). I also looked at the hobby shop and they don't have any aileron stock this big. If necessary, I can sand some 1/2 inch balsa down into a TE shape, but is it necessary? Will it affect the way it flies? I figured maybe it would make the root of the wing stall first, but I don't want it to stall at too high of a speed...

I would not worry about it at all. The couple inches missing will not matter at all. Go fly have fun and good luck. I'm assuming you have solod already.

I doubt you will notice a difference...if you do just increase your throw a tad bit....
now for looks only you could always glue in a tapered piece of stock at the trailing edge of the wing and to the fuse

That's what I was thinking, but wanted to run it by some other "brains" first.
Yes, I have several years experience. This is kit number 6 for me to build, and too many arfs to count.
Flying it won't be the problem, I was just wondering about the wing fit.

Cover the remaining cut off bit of the ailerons with the shrink and CA it to the side.A nice sticker placed on the joint line would even improve the overall looks.

That would be a perfect solution, but (as I stated earlier) I never could find those extra pieces. I didn't realize they were too short until a few days after cutting them (don't remember exactly what came up, but something did and I put it all down for a while).
Anyway, they are lost.

Not really lost, I think I spotted them on my shop floor!!!:D It's not A big deal and today most people don't have A clue as to what the Bridi's even look like. You are going to get A lot of those{Who Built It} questions.

This was without a doubt the best kit I've ever built. I know that is limited, but I've built two kadets, two top flite contenders (one gold, one original), a goldberg cub, a top flite gold AT-6, and now this one (I guess I miscounted earlier, that makes this my 7th kit). The instructions were two pages typed, no pictures. A little intimidating at first, but once you get started, experience will kick in and the thing goes together nice and easy!
I can't wait to fly it. It's a bit underpowered with only a G23 up front, and it comes in at 12.8 lbs (without fuel), but it will fly. I may eventually go to a G38 or similar engine, but for now I'm just looking for a nice easy sunday flier....
I'd build another Bridi in a heartbeat........Fortunately, I bought this one two years ago. some guy had it in his garage and it's one of the original, TRUE Bridi kits....
