tapeing flaps
 

i installed the quad flap feature on my hangar 9 ultra stick 40. ive never flown with flaps before so i would like a few flights on the plane without flaps can you tape the flaps to the ailerons for a few flights without flaps? if you can , what should i use and how?

What kind of radio do you have? you might be able to program the servos to wrol together.

Doesn't matter what radio you have, just "Y" cord all 4 servos together and they will all become ailerons

ive got a dx7 radio. ive got it set up now with both flaps y'd together and both ailerons y'd together so now how do i y cord all 4 together?!

Just fly it around with out using the flaps. If you operate the flaps with the ailerons, (like a long strip aileron) then start using the flaps and ailerons seperately the plane will fly different from what you are used to. The plane flys just great with the flaps up and the small ailerons. When you start using the flaps, try them out and get used to them 3 mistakes high. The plane will balloon up, be ready for it. If you have a computer radio, you can dial a little down elevator in with the flaps to counter that. Have fun.
