RE: What is this???
Well, whatever it is, I can GUARANTEE YOU that you'll be the ONLY one at the field with one :D And with today's ARF's (there's nothing wrong with ARF's!!!!! they're GREAT when you're like me and NOT a master model builder) it's just that sometimes at the field you see 10 planes that ALL look identical.... i'm like a little individualist customization when it comes to look of my stuff (even my car!). I can't wait to re-cover my Tower 60, I'm still working on the design, but it WILL be a ONE OF A KIND :D
It's a definitely unique looking bird! |
RE: What is this???
Hmm the wing is not really like the rivits as this has the "Hershey bar" wing while the Rivets has a tappered wing. If I had to guess I would say it could be a kit bashed 4 star or even a scratch build of someones own design. The control surfaces are too small to be any kind of 3D aerobatic plane but it looks perfect for a second plane after a trainer.

RE: What is this???
rivets has a t tail
|
RE: What is this???
yea it is definitley not a 3D plane because of the realy small controle surfaces

Spacemonkey,
Nice thing about ARFs - if there are ten of them at your field then you have a pretty good idea that it is a good flying plane. We have two, we're a small club, Park Flier foam T-28s at our field. There will be three after Christmas - I've made my decision. KW_Counter |
RE: What is this???

RE: What is this???
i looked those models up. it isnt a rivets, and i dont think its a hots, the hots is a mid winger. this is a low wing plane. the fuse is entirely sheeted (1/4" thick) and has a foam core wing sheeted in balsa with ply wingtips. any ideas still?
thanks for the responses so far... robbins |
RE: What is this???
you dont know what it is? lol did u check the cg on it? I hope you know what a cg is or you shouldnt be flying at all
|
RE: What is this???
you do have a point about seeing alot of the same planes and knowing, by default, that they MUST be good ones! ;)
At the club I fly at, the last time I was there, there were FOUR T-28's! and they all got into the air at the same time chasing eachother around! I thought it was funny as heck to watch the people try to keep track of their own planes!!! When there's this SWIRLING MASS of planes that are ALL DEAD IDENTICAL, it must have been pretty easy to get confused :D A couple of people would just yank on the sticks to see which one "jumped" to figure it out :D :D :D |
