First kit inquiry.
I have narrowed down my first kit choices, if any body has another suggestion of something similar then feel free to offer one. I'm gonna be having some b-day money burning a hole in my pocket soon so I want to get me a kit. I went with these because I have a small stik that has an OS 25 and all needed radio gear that I can steal from. Wanting to know if anyone has built one like it, I'm guessin someone has. How do they differ in flight characteristics?

RE: First kit inquiry.
hmmmm; T-craft [thanks to older brother in aerospace engineering :D] they wing will give you more lift and it should be pretty stable [hes already doing some equation.. XD] not sure about the aerobatics but judging by the front [the decor windshield] thats a big stop, so its a trade off between the 2
but preferably [excuse the Canadian site] i would get http://www.hobbyhobby.com/store/prod...oducts_id=2166 mainly cause its pretty good flow over the fuselage |
RE: First kit inquiry.
House of Balsa makes some nice kits for this engine size. I voted other just because there are more options you did not put up there and I was unsure if you had already ruled them out or were unaware of them. The models you have optioned are nice as well. I have the Great Planes 20 size piper cub but alas it still sits in the box with nary a stick glued[:o]

Nice plane Sharku, but it's going to be a bit underpowered with the OS 25 he has.

RE: First kit inquiry.
The first kit that I ever successfully built and flew was a Goldberg Cub.
I've never built either of your choices but, being GP kits, I don't see how you could go wrong. I would personally give the T-craft a shot since Cubs are so common. |

The Taylorcraft information states:
Any modeler with intermediate building experience can enjoy this kit |
RE: First kit inquiry.
Now I'm all confused, House of Balsa has some good looking planes for a good looking price too. Anybody seen any of them in finished form?
