Aileron/ Servo ? World Model Extra300L
Hi. I need help.
I had to move my Servo for my left aileron slighty over from where the manufacture (I think accidently) intended it to be. That made me move the Tri-Horn on the aileron over a little from the pre-drilled holes in the aileron. Now there is no block of wood for the screws to grab on to. I took it to the hobby shop before I found out there was no block of wood. They told me I had to have the servos "mirrored" in order to have the ailerons move in different directions. Having them "mirrored" causes this problem of the screws not grabbing. Does this make sense? It's a Worls Model Extra 300L 65" Wingspan. Anyone have this Model? Thank you for your help. |
RE: Aileron/ Servo ? World Model Extra300L
If you have a computer radio capable of using a different channel for each servo, then there is no need to "mirror" the servos.
I do not have that particular plane but I asume that it is a fault in the design. The common is that servos go "mirrored" installed. If you do not have a computer radio then you can use an X-acto blade and carefully cut into the aileron covering and balsa sheeting, ad a block of wood where it needs to be, replace the balsa sheeting (if apply) and the covering. I hope this can be of help. |
