Spectrum DX7 and AR7000RX

I have had my Spectrum for about 12 months now. About a week ago I went to fly and turned on the TX and then The RX Waiting, Waiting HMMM Nothing. Turn off the TX and waited. Turned it back on HMMM. Tried again turning them both off / On and hey presto no problems.

I went out to fly today and got to the field set up and all was good. Left it for 1/2 an hour and DOH nothing. Switched things off and on half a dozen times but still nothing. I ended up rebinding and it seems that fixed it.

Any ideas what may have happened?

(Tried to put this in the Spectrum Forum but don't have permissions I think)

Anyway feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

sometimes if you accidently hit the bind button this will happen

Hmm.. I've had my DX7 since they came out and mine has never done that. Send a note to Spektrum Support via Horizon and see if they can shed some light on that.

Yeah, you could have been accidentally pushing on the bind button while turning the tx on, that will cause it to lose its bind. Try re-binding the rx and see if that works.

I had similar problems with my AR7000 receiver. After about 3 days of use it just started failing to establish a connection. At first rebinding helped but after playing with it a bit more trying to figure out what happened it was occuring more and more. In the end it was failing range tests and only actually connecting with the transmitter about 1 in 5 tries, so I sent it back and it was replaced no questions asked.

May be a completely different issue with yours, but it's worth keeping an eye on. I'm lucky I like to figure out what causes problems or I may have tried to fly and had an in-flight failure.
