Pacer Hinge Glue
I want to install robart hinge point 1/8". I normally use Gorilla glue but it make a mess with all the foaming. Does anyone know if I can use Pacer hinge glue. I have used it on regular nylon hinges with good success.

RE: Pacer Hinge Glue
I started using it after several guys said they had great success using it on their hinge points. I've used it on pinned hinges with no issues - good solid bonds and no hinges have pulled out or loosened. I'm about to use it on hinge points in a couple of weeks on my Astro Hog.

Is Pacer hinge the same as Pacer canopy?? Lanny

RE: Pacer Hinge Glue
No, it is special for hinges. Grabs fast and looks somewhat like titebond.

RE: Pacer Hinge Glue
I've also used it on pinned hinges with no problems. I have never tried it on a hinge point. Building a Big Bingo and all the slots are cut for the hinge point.

RE: Pacer Hinge Glue
The only time I bother with the gorilla glue anymore is if the holes have been wobbled out from test fitting. I went back to the pacer, good stuff.

RE: Pacer Hinge Glue
Irish,
When you put the hinges in with gule, dip the pivot point in light oil or heat some Vaseline in a spoon over a candle. This prevents the glue from penetrating into the pivot. And don't grab the wrong hinges - the one's without protection in the hinge area like I did once or you'll learn how well this stuff can really hold. Hogflyer |
