model tech magic extra arf

hey folks,
just got this plane at a swap meet and don't have the wing bolts for it. From what i can tell, it's stock and from minnflyers review way back when they were metal screws that were used. does anyone know the size/length of the wing bolts that came standard on this arf?
Thanks

My cousin just got one of these planes. First thing I told him was to change the wing mounting phillips head screws to allen head cap screws. I am guessing that they are something metric, because they were in between a #6 and #8 screw. He is going to try and match them up at the local hardware store.

thanks for the info. Not a bad idea on the allen head screws.

Mesaflyer,
I disagree with the allen head screws, I prefer a cap head screw.
The only reason is I don't like sharp objects around my planes.
I prefer to use a large round nut runner to a small pointy allen wrench.
Just my preferance, both do the job.

The nut runner is a good idea too. Personal preference I guess. My son's Tiger 60 came with allen head screws for the wing hold bolts, and I guess they sort of just stuck with me. I know a lot of people prefer nylon bolts too. Again, personal preference.

seahwk,
I came across a package of screws in my shop that fit his plane. They are Dubro part number 2280, 4.0 x 25mm. Here is a link.

Now the length, the ones in my cousins plane are about 1 1/4". Cant measure exactly, because he has installed the belly pan, and the screws are kinda difficult to remove without enlarging the holes in the belly pan. You will see what I mean with yours. Also, his blind nuts were pre-installed. But I did try the 4.0 x 25mm cap screws in the blind nuts, and they screwed right in. Hopefully, your plane is the same.
