Motor won't run continuously

I just got an Astro 05 Brushless Motor and Jeti Speed controller with BEC. When I connect it to the receiver, I get 2 beeps from the Controller (one low and one high). When I move my throttle stick forward, the motor spins up and immediately stops. If I move the throttle stick extremely slow, I may get the motor to spin for about 2 seconds. Any ideas?

Un Educated Guess

Do the instructions for the BEC give any indication how it will act when the voltage is near minimum ? Sounds like it's shutting down and telling you to land if you were in the air? Let me know_bob

Beeps

My speed controller requires that you turn on the switch with the throttle in the down (full off) position. It then beeps once. Then you transit the throttle to full up. I then beeps twice. Then, and only then, once you return to full off, will the engine spin.

It also has different fault beeps that I never remember.

I have to keep refering to the manual.

Perhaps you have some variation of the same problem.

Thanks!

The Jeti has an ON and OFF brake mode which is set using the throttle sticks and is indicated by the beeps. When the Brake Mode is ON, the power to the motor cuts off at low voltage but can be restored in burst by moving the throttle stick to full off and back on. When the Brake Mode is OFF, the power is reduced to slow the motor.

The problem I'm still having is that even though I have the Brake mode OFF, the motor still cuts off. Any more ideas?

You must have this posted in multiple forums? Please use just one. Check my note on the other one you posted. Might be the battery. Is if fully charged?

Thanks and Sorry

I'll try charging my batter again.

Sorry about the multiple post, I found this one after the other and thought this one would be more appropriate. I've left a post referring to this post.

Did the charging help or do you still have a problem with it? Just curious if that did it.

Same

The batteries been charged and I'm getting the same results. The motor just spins up and stops (now not as abruptly since I turned the Brake OFF).

Try to reverse the throttle channel at the transmitter. As a safety feature, ESCs won't let the motor go to full throttle whne the TX/RX is first turned on (as ghostbear says in #3), and if the throttle is reversed, it can't go through the startup sequence.

Is the the same stuttering brushless motor thst you might have toasted last November?
