Problem with my OS 46FXi Engine

Ok, so when i put the prop and spinner on my engine, it is very very hard to spin the prop, actually you cant even spin the prop with out having to muscle it it feels all tight and locked up.. i added some oil to the spinning portion of the engine but it still is tight ...what the heck is going on? HELPPPPP!

First thing I would do is remove the glo plug and see if it spins freely without the glo plug fitted, sometimes you can get an air lock in there.

You didn't say how old the engine was and if you have used it before. The 46 FX is the series before the current 46 AX series. They were / are good reliable motors

G'day Mate,
Have you taken the prop driver off, or did it fall off at some stage, if so, you may have lost the washer, that goes between the prop driver & the bearing.
It is a small black washer, & it must be used, or the engine will be locked up.
SO find that washer, & put it in place & you should be OK.
Look at your engine manual, & you will see where the washer goes.

There should be a washer between the fly wheel and the bearings you might find that has dropped out

alan0899 and speedair have it. It's the washer. Easy to lose and a MANDATORY part. They call it a "thrust washer" item #10 on this drawing http://downloads.hobbico.com/evpl/osm/ev15460aa.pdf and Tower has them cheap http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...EARCH=46120000 Don't use a cheap substitute.
