i was wondering what a good second plane would be i have tought myslef with the hobby zone firebird commander 2 looking to upgrade a little

I only know glow planes, but if you're willing to consider one (I think I remember you saying you were open to glow) AND have a club or large enough field to fly at:

I flew this thing for a short while and had a total blast with it. I would stick with a trainer since you have two more channels to learn, and this is one of the more agile trainers out there. Very fun plane.

A second for the Avistar. A VERY good trainer that`s a bit more capable when you want it to be. If you get the RTF model, fly it a while with the 40 LA that it comes with. Then, at some point, put a 46 up front. Very capable second plane.

Now the T-28 might not be your best bet as a second aircraft as it does require some nimble fingers on the sticks, however, if you can tandem w/someone and get a feel for it then you'll be alright. OR You can go it alone but keep your control throws LOWER then you think you can handle. It's a real snappy foam bird (and fun!) The gents above have some solid recommendations for glow too. You can't go wrong with what their shooting at you.
