Binding, Binding , Binding
For several hours now I've been trying to eliminate binding. Elevator, Rudder/Nosewheel. I can't manage. I'm pretty sure I've found the problematic places, but I just can't manage. Do you guys have any general tips? My voltwatcher is going nuts. Thank you!

I try to study the mechanism and figure out where the pressure points are that are causing the binding. I sometimes bend the wire a little with pliers to eliminate the friction

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've bent the push rods to eliminate some of the pressure, but there are other places in the plane that I know are causing problems but that I just can't get to. My plane came with two pre-installed push rods running through tubing, but relative to where the servos are and where the push rod exits, it's just impossible to not have pressure at that point. :

I have done things like slide the rods out and coat them with graphite to try to get them to be more free. The worst one I ever had was a Sig LT40 ARF.

Sometimes you may have to massage a servo hole and move the servo a little. Other times you may have to ditch the pushrods and run new ones. I used to spend hours adjusting and moving control surfaces to get things loose enough to eliminate a buzzing servo. One thing to keep in mind that when the engine is running, the vibration from the enigne may jiggle things slightly so that the servo centers and then does not drain out the battery. Sometimes you may have to be very creative to get at some places in the plane that you normally cant get to. Good Luck and don't give up;)

Yes, I had a Sig Four Star 60 ARF that I finally had to ditch the original rods and install new Sullivan rods to get it to work correctly.
