Lets Talk Glow Plugs
What are the differences in glow plugs? thicker or thinner wire? bar or non-bar?
What is the difference between a OS #8 plug and a OS Type F? Yes I know the type F is specifically for a 4 stroke but why? Lets hear the experts out there give us a lesson on glow plugs.... I want to learn.... Thanks |

All the usual sources refer to matching plug heat to nitro content. But it seems like this info should also help when you have an engine designed for no nitro, but all your fuel is 10%. Usual advice is to add a head shim. But you can just use a cool plug, right? Jim

Thanks for the good info Bruce. I was having problems with the transition in the cold weather. Tried everything but changing the plug. |
