flaperon mixing question

what is exactly the function of the flaperon?, what does the plane should do when you apply flaperon?. thought that when you apply flaperon the airplane should go up, but the last Sunday i was trying the first time this mixing funtion on a plane but every time i applied it the airplane gone nose down. is it normal? i did this with a dazzler and a futaba 6exa on it. should i have an elevator-flaperon mix to prevent this?. i'm a Little disturbed about this flaperon thing...

flaperon is just making the ailerons act like flaps, it allows the plane to fly at a lower speed without falling out of the air.

on most sport planes flaps/flaperons are way over rated and are only much use on planes with realativly high wing loading.

depending on the center of moment the flaps should make the plane baloon up but can also make the nose drop, to get them working together for landing you should mix in some up elevator to give a slower, higher alpha landing than normal.

i've also seen tham used at higher speeds as flaps and air brakes to give some real funky moves.

Flaps are used to increase the lift on the wing so that you can lower the landing speed of your approach.

I've used flaporons on a couple of planes. On a Slowpoke the same thing happened that you experienced, the nose dropped. However on a Telemaster the plane baloons, and yes you have to mix in some down elevator. If it acts like on the Telemaster then it will slow your landing and to a certain extent you can steepen your approach to landing.
