Pair accused of assault over Wii Christmas gift
48 mins ago

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – A couple accused of assaulting each other over an unappreciated Christmas gift have been ordered to stay away from each other. Randi Young, 24, and Heath Blom, 26, were arrested on Christmas day. Police said the pair argued after Blom complained about getting a Wii game system from Young instead of the remote control airplane he asked for. When Young started to leave, Blom allegedly grabbed her by the hair and she turned around and hit him,

In court Monday, Young asked that the no-contact order be lifted, saying they just had a bad Christmas. But the judge denied the request.

The only problem with the warning is that if they are on RC Universe, it is already too late.

You guys think maybe the surgeon general should have all RC products labled like cigarette packs?:D

If we go too long without flying, the DT's make it hard to work the sticks.

OH NO!!! I bought a new plane but didn't make the house payment. Do you think I am an addict?

Yes, it is. My son and I have been involved since June of 08. Since he had a mid-air with our Tiger Trainer in Sept. and we were without a plane, I've acquired an UltraStick 40, a Fourstar 40, a Vectorflight 330S-66 (for later). I've also built SPAD's - a SPA3DT and a Deboniar is almost complete. I have the parts to build a small electric plane, for flying around the neighborhood, when we can't get to the field.

Yes, I am a plane-aholic, but I'm doing pretty good for only 7 months in the hobby???

Me too Dick (Well, mine was a frying pan)

That's the bad thing (if there is such a thing) about doing reviews. When my wife says, "Do you want any airplane stuff for Christmas?" I have to say, "Hell no! I got too much already!"

We all have our cross to bear :D

Yes I am an addict. after a little over a year. my boys and I have about 25 engines. 8 to 10 planes to fly at all time(SPADS) and many more being built, flown and crashed, well not much crashing lately we are also addicted to combat so that means a pile of planes for the 3 of us. it takes at least 12 planes for a combat meet. HELP ME IM SICK!!!

RE: Warning to "Beginners"...

Like most RC'ers, I have many more planes than I can fly at once.. :D I did get a gift cert from the LHS. Already spent it. I bought an FS One simulator with it.

A frying pan, eh Mike? Well, I don't feel so bad now.. :D

Having read many of the posts on this thread I couldn't begin to even estimate what this hobby has cost me. All I know is I've been enjoying it since single channel escapement days and presently own 22 planes of varying sizes and most with 2.4 equipment in them. Since I undoubtedly progressed in I guess a normal manner since beginning I would only say PLENTY but have enjoyed it right from the start. Great hobby in all respects. Gets me out of my rocking chair several times a week.

Amen to that. We all need something to keep us young. And seeing that my wife won't let me have a 18 yr old gal, guess I have to stick to the planes.

I'd love to fly a single-channel escapement again! Those were the good ol' days!

When my wife turned 40 I told her I was going to trade her in for two twenties...

She said, "You're not wired for 220"

I had to get a micro heli to fight off the winter withdrawls, so far it's working.
If I break it I'm in big trouble![>:]:D

RE: Warning to "Beginners"...

Does it mean I have the sickness too? I can't stay away from R/C airplanes! I got out for a while due to a financial (young kids) situation, but I just gotta come back! Good thing there is no cure! A while back, my wife complained that I spent too much time and money on my "toys" as she put it. I asked her if it was better if I spent that time and money at the bar, and she agreed that this was better. She still complained, but just not as loud!
