What is the Smallest 2 stroke?

This is a triva question, but I am curious. What is the smallest 2 stroke engine made, what brand are they and still available?

Cox had the .010. As far as I know that was about as small as anything comercially available. You may be able to get one on Ebay. There are several models it will work on such as a littelist stick.

The Cox .010 to my knowledge. It hasn't been made in at least 10 years. The electrics over shadowed it

Cox 010 is the smallest comercially built, there was an article in a magazine many years ago (early 70's) of a German man who built a 005 deisel.

Cheers

Small displacement two stroke glow engines haven't disappeared completely. While Cox and Norvel are no longer in production, you can still find engines below 0.10 cu in being offered.

AP Engines is still offering a .061 model and a .09 model, both are available from:

http://www.towerhobbies.com
http://www.hobbypeople.net

Thunder Tiger makes their GP-07 (actually about .067 displacement I'm told) and it's available from

http://www.towerhobbies.com
http://www.thundertiger4u.com
http://www.infinitehobbies.com
http://www.ehobbies.com

Enya Engine is making two or three different varieties of their widely praised Enya .09-IV which can be ordered from:

http://www.enya-engine.com
http://richmondrc.com

Model Engine Corporation of America (MECOA) is offering a Fuji branded 0.05 glow engine:

http://www.mecoa.com

While there are no longer any .010 or .020 sized engines currently distributed in North America, many small model enthusiasts are still building planes and trading for these tiny powerplants on auction sites and classified sections all over the Internet.

No more Norvels??? Those were really fun little engines!!! At one point in time I used to have a can full of the .010s for my small U-Controls. Another fun little engine.

They disappeared off the face of the earth

Trick question. The tiny Gasparin CO2 engines used in free-flight peanut scale are two strokes. Though that's just compressed gas and not internal-combustion.
