Is this a good covering for a Micro Telemaster? http://www.hobby-lobby.com/micro-telemaster.htm

I haven't done too much covering, but I have used Monokote, Ultracote, Econocote, and Microlite. The microlite stuff I used to cover a Fundango and it worked really well. I had no problems covering the fundango and it worked well. I would use it again if I wanted to cover in transparent again.

Yes, the microlite would be good for that airplane. Microlite and solite are the same product, just different names.

I've used Towercoat once, and exactly once. I wouldn't use it again if I was paid to do it. And I definitely don't recommend it for beginners at covering. It's is difficult to work with and does not stay tight very well. At best you'd end up being very frustrated with it. Spend a little extra and by the Monokote or Ultracoat.

I think I will go with the yellow and white Microlite.

On a personal note I have used Towerkote many times and I like the stuff. IMO it does not go on as smooth or easy as Ultracote, so I would definitely recommend Ultracote for beginners. I do not like Monokote but that is just my preference, does not mean beginners can not successfully apply it. My first choice will always be Ultracote.

Microlite will give you a lightweight cover, and strong enough for RC planes similar to this size only IMO.

I covered a Micro Telemaster with it and the total added weight was just under one ounce(.093 oz). This total weight included one coat of Balsarite over the entire airframe (which I now believe was unnecessary) and, a four inch overlap at the wing center section, top and bottom, to act like some form of wing joiner reinforcing tape, which was another move I wont do again:)

Would Top Flite EconoKote be a good covering for a Micro Telemaster? I hope so because I just built the plane and sanded it. This was my first build BTW. It was fun.

Congrats on your first build!!!
I have never used the Econokote, so I cant advise. If you find out the weight of both of those covering materials, I suggest using the lighter of the two. Weight is always to be considered especially with aircraft sized like the Mini T. Good luck:)

I used Ultracote on mine and it still came out very lightweight, so I believe Econokote wouldn't be much different.

EconoKote is a lower temperature version of MonoKote. I've used it on foam wing, directly over the foam with good results. I've used EconoKote and MonoKote to cover several 1/2A aircraft with out any adverse results, so EconoKote should work OK for the Micro-Telemaster.
