Engine thrust angle Question

I am putting a Stick 4D together and did not like the rubber engine mount it came with. I changed the engine mount to a Dubro soft mount for a Saito 72. After mounting the engine, it appears the thrust angle is up a tad. How do you figure out what the proper angle should be?
Thanks for your input.

RE: Engine thrust angle Question

Thrust angles are typically 2 degrees down and 2 degrees right when setting in the cockpit

Go here and look at steps 6 and 7. They are for correcting your thrust angles.

Also keep in mind that there is always an exception to every rule. I built a Cap-232 kit once that specified a slight up-thrust. That may not be the case on your plane of course. I'd fly it and decide what it needs base don how it behaves.

RE: Engine thrust angle Question

I sometimes depends the position of your thrust line

Those sea planes with the engine up on a pod above the wing must have up thrust
