A freak misshap or a problem?
hey guys new to planes here been in the heli part of the hobby for 8 moths, however love fix wind, 2 montha ago my nephew gave my a trainer that he build 8 years ago, has a Jr f400 radio, oing a lot of sim practice doing well ( use to fly a piper cub in the 70 ) floing 2 time with a friend long rc plane flyer and did well, 4 week ago went to the field and one on the guys had a buddy cord with aJr radio so we hook up did a full tank and was ablle to land it Whaoooo felt good, next tank some dud got his radio on in my same Feg and got me down (landed on a tree) well fix it last weekend my buddy was there so I hooked the JR tyo my heli radio spektrum dx6i and set it and up we went at the second tank lose a a litte of concentration and gave it to him when he level the plane and gave to me is just banked left and down he recover but plane was actin weird, safe landing do.
My Q both time was the same bank and down almost on the same place? got the idea tha once you leave your left stick center plane should fligth strait if level, did not hapen ( just banked left and down as soon he press the trainer stick1 can it be a problem with the rx? can it be a extention cord from the aileron? or just my ch 30 has some interfernce close by? do have a fire station very close we flight at a empty field by a elementary school, I do have a AMA lic any sugesstion ? sorry I made it to long Mariano |
RE: A freak misshap or a problem?
Did you make sure that all of the trims matched up between the primary TX and the buddy box? It sounded like when you hit the trainer switch, the plane veered to the left? On the ground, you need to flip back and forth on the trainer switch, and make sure that all surfaces stay put. Then you need to try it in the air a couple of times to make sure it behaves the same way.
Also, make sure that the buddy box power switch is off. Good luck |

There's a problem between the two transmitters. This can be worked out on the ground not in the air
Check the trim setting on your transmitter |

My Q both time was the same bank and down almost on the same place? got the idea tha once you leave your left stick center plane should fligth strait if level, did not hapen ( just banked left and down as soon he press the trainer stick1 Now before flying, you should take the two airplanes. set the master at however it normally flies the airplane. Then check each control surface one at a time (no confusion that way) and be certain that the BB moves in the correct way, and the trim is set to certain that the BB control returns to exact position as the Master. If it does not, then adjust the BB trim until it does. Once you are airborne, the Instructor gets all trimmed up. If he had to move anything, he should tell you to move your BB the same. Then he flies a 2-mistke high fly-by, tells you "hands off", then he transfers control to BB. If something happens, he advises you how to adjust. Then the deed is done and done again, until transfer shows no change in the flight path. Failure to do this will result in broken airplanes, I GAR-RAN-TEE IT! [X(] Allowing a control stick to return to center will not, in itself return a flying machine to straight and level flight. You turn your car by holding the wheel in a turn, then back to neutral to go straight. NOT SO WITH A FLYING MACHINE. You roll into a bank to start the turn, then MOVE the stick back to neutral to hold the desired bank angle. Sometimes the machine may need a slight PRESSURE into the bank, or out of the bank, or hold neutral while the machine completes its turn. In any case, some slight or better back pressure on the elevator will be required for while the machine is in the turn. As you approach the desired heading, you commence rolling the wings opposite to the bank angle to the upright level attitude, then neutral again, along with whatever it requires to stay level. The Darn thing just wants you to have to work to enjoy it. You know it ain't just airplanes that do that! :D |

Also make sure your radio's are not set up for heli. Could be the tail rotor mix kicking in on one of the radio's.

RE: A freak misshap or a problem?
Guys thanks a lot for responding. our procedure is as follow JR (master on ) check controls ,plug in, then the dx( slave) is turn on ,plane mode called trainer and trim, intructor goses airborne make altitude trim it before he is ready to released tome he ask to put the same power % of the master JR and then i go.
After 5 min, got desoriented and gave it to him did a course lap and and released to me as soon he told was mine left bank and dive in, yelled not responding , he saved, got me trouble of a glitch in the master button of the JR or the extention of the aileron servo (plug)been losse inside, you know vibration maken a sprak an servo acting funny, just afraid to wreck my bird, thanks Mariano PS as soon you plug the bb cord on any of the controls they turn on but we turn the on anyway |
RE: A freak misshap or a problem?
I don't think you should be turning on the power switch on the slave. I know that when I do mine, Jr to Jr, the slave power switch stays off. I'm not sure if it's different with Spektrum.
Hope you get it sorted out. |
