Anyone ever fly the Big Bingo
1 Attachment(s)
I just finished building the Ace Big Bingo and was wondering if anyone has flown one. This is the largest plane that I have built and was hoping that it didn't have any bad characteristics. It is powered by a Magnum 180 4 stroke. I am using Hi-Tec HS625mg servos on the ailerons and Hi-Tec HS645mg on elevator and rudder. Any feedback would be appreciated.

RE: Anyone ever fly the Big Bingo
It's a great airplane Gene. it's just like a big 4-star

RE: Anyone ever fly the Big Bingo
It weighs more than a Four Star and is built to last. Actually the Four Star is more or less a copy of the Bingo/Big Bingo
I'm sure you will enjoy it for years to come for it appears you've done a good job |
RE: Anyone ever fly the Big Bingo
Aahhh Gene, the strips on the top of the wing aren't straight, I think you have to redo the whole wing, or better yet, send it over to me and I will redo it for you, and test it for you, I promise that you will get it back someday ;) ;):D:eek:

Gee I had the wing at an angle when I put the stripes on and they were straight then. Wonder what happened. Working on a 1/4 scale Cub with a 26 gas engine. Now there is something I know nothing about. I have been all morning trying to figure out where to put the electronic ignition module and how to hook up the choke.

Gene,
Beautiful bird. I especially like the trim job you did, very nice! Are you actuating the choke via servo? How about Channel 5 (Futaba, landing gear). Are you going to do a build thread on it? Curtis |
RE: Anyone ever fly the Big Bingo
keep that electronic ignition module as far away for you radio system as possible

I could use a servo if I could mount it near the ignition system. See pictures. The servo cut-out was just laid there so I could see if I had enough room to mount a 2nd one and not interfer with the electronic ignition module.

ORIGINAL: w8ye keep that electronic ignition module as far away for you radio system as possible |
RE: Anyone ever fly the Big Bingo
The spark module/battery will have to be mounted on one side or the other of F-1
The throttle servo will have to be in the radio compartment with the other servos and a plastic Gold-n-rod used for a throttle rod to the engine If you do not follow this ritual Elctronic RF noise will eat your radio up and you will have hits, servo extreme travel and all kinds of mysteries |
RE: Anyone ever fly the Big Bingo
So how did the Bingo fly Goirish?
