RE: What a difference a prop makes!

That is my problem Dave, seems as many props as I have I never have the one I need for that new engine.

Collecting props is a weakness of mine. ;) Giving them up is the hard part. Kinda like all my engines. [sm=lol.gif] I sold two this week and it is like watching my children leave to go to war (and I know they are never coming home) [:o].

We all have the problem of too many props but never the right size

Who knows, that engine may be pampered, never used, or ruined in a few minutes by the new owner?

I've sold probably 30 engines in the last 5 years and I have the same feelings as you because they were pampered by me and were my babies

I try not to think about it

I was selling them full time on the bay and went through some beautiful examples . I kept the ones that somehow appealed to me, not all but a few. And now they are being sold off,,,,,,,,,, painfully.

If you are still up from some experimenting, you may want to try an 11x5APC. The course of this thread seems to be going in the way of "use what you like" and I sure like that prop on my 4*40 with the OS55 or ST51.

I've been flying H9 Ultrastick 40's for about 5 yrs with Saito 56's. Primarily APC 12-6 but liked the way the APC 12-5 was made compared with the 12-6.

I have eventually changed to a Turbo muffler on the Saito 56 and went to a APC 13-4 prop with maximum rates on the controls and 60% exponential. I'm having a ball
