Are parkzone servos junk?

I had heard something before about the parkzone servos not being good quality, but can't find it. I noticed yesterday that when I gave aileron input to my corsair that one of them just clicked. It only has about 6 flights on the thing, I can't understand how it could go bad so fast. I sent Horizon an email asking about a possible replacement, but haven't heard back yet. Is this just a bad servo, or am I going to have more problems down the road?

I've never had an issue with either my T-28 or Corsair but a guy at my field lost a corsair due to a bad servo. He called Horizon and they sent him a new plane at no charge.

I've had a couple of the 5 wire servos that come on the Super Cub and Slo-v go bad, one of them fried two recievers before I figured out what was wrong. I've only had one of the 3 wire kind go bad, it was an aileron servo on a t-28. I've got six J-3bl, three T-28, and a corsair that all use these servos. I have had some of them for over 2 years and I would estimate at least 50 flights on each and much more than that on the t-28s.

I still haven't heard back from them yet, but I'm sure they will replace it. Hopefully it was simply a lemon servo.

RE: Are parkzone servos junk?

I've got a F27C Stryker PNP, and after about 4 flights, the stock servos are still working fine. I've not had any "hard landings" with it, though! I'll probably end up upgrading to HS-81MGs in the future. I have an older F27 Stryker (original brushed version) that I upgraded to the F27C brushless power system, and I've got the HS-81MGs servos in it. Those servos have suvived a couple crashes unscathed.
