FP-R148DF
I just picked up a used 148DF from a member on RCG, and I didn't realize that it is a micro receiver. It is a Dual Conversion, but do you think I may be limited in distance as compared to a 168DF? I am only planning on putting it in a 4*40.
Thanks, Curtis |
RE: FP-R148DF
http://www.gpdealera.com/cgi-bin/wga...pgm?I=FUTL0812 makes no comments about being short range. I am of the belief that it is simply a 4 channel version of the R168DF.

RE: FP-R148DF
Its an 8 channel full range, dual conversion, FM (ppm) reciever.
What makes you think its a micro? The 146iP is a micro. |
RE: FP-R148DF
The guy he bought them from said they were micro.
I have one and it has always worked perfect on my 60 size plane |
RE: FP-R148DF
ORIGINAL: BarracudaHockey Its an 8 channel full range, dual conversion, FM (ppm) reciever. You're right - my mistake on the channels. What makes you think its a micro? For one thing - Futaba calls it a micro in their literature. |
RE: FP-R148DF
LOL oh ok.
Its slim but they were using the word micro on that thing before recievers became smaller than quarters! :) Its all good. FWIW I use one in a 2.5m glider, and when thermaling it at the ragged edge of being able to see it and the receiver has performed flawlessly. |
RE: FP-R148DF
It's funny. The thing is about half the size of the 168DF, but twice as large as the 156F (which is a micro as well). It looks like it is in the same era as those two, but definately not a micro sized Rx. Glad to hear it works so well, looking forward to using it.

RE: FP-R148DF
They called it MICRO because it is smaller then a bread box. ;) A bread box is a, oh never mind, my age is showing again.;)
