Question about robart oleo struts
Sorry for this one, but on the struts when mounting them, does the torque link go pointed forward or rearward? What about on a trike gear setup? Which way does the nose gear torque link go? Does it matter?
thanks |
RE: Question about robart oleo struts
It doesn't matter unless you want it to look like the full-scale version of whatever plane it is - Some full-scale planes have them in the front and some have them in the rear. So really, you can put them either way

example P-47 thunderbolt the scissor links face forward.
on the P-51 they point towards the rear its really about how scale you want your plane to look. first pic is the Jug, second is the P-51,3rd is a P-40 I also have a spitfire that has them on backwards[sm=spinnyeyes.gif] oops |
