Double Bubble Epoxy

Anyone ever use it? We use it work for strain guages and accelerometers and such. Comes in a box of 100 packs complete with mixing sticks. Resonable price and will fit nicely into your flight line box. Best thing is no measuring cups needed. I'm going to try it out, but seems to make sense to me.

My opinion, work time of only 3 minutes doesn't sound good for R/C. Stick with 15-minute or better yet, 30-minute.

HAHA, My dad is an FAA aircraft mechanic, and has brought that stuff home to use ever since I can remember. The government who isn't wasteful with taxpayer dollars at all(cough) throws the packages of it away when they get old and he just brings it home. I used it ever since I was a little kid, especially on my foam gliders with the huge wings!:D Those would be easy to throw in the field box, I just forgot about them since I don't live with my parents anymore. I'll have to pick some up from his garage, the price is right for me.

As far as the cure time is concerned, its not like your gonna join a wing back together with it. It will work great on foamies or other light duty stuff.

IMO 3 minutes is not enough work time, from my experience even 6 minutes is not enough i would stay with 30 minutes epoxy.
they have others too with more work time.
thanks for the info.

The link just shows the three minute cure type various others are available, from minutes to hours. I thought it great for a quick small repair, like a loose canopy, cowling etc... . and it's easy to mix. We use tihs stuff on strain gauges (some cost `12k or more) during vibration testing and in 25 years I've never seen an gauges fall off. I agree that at least the 30 minute from critical component repair. "bubble" sells that too and you know you have the right mix everytime.

its great to know that this option exist at a reasonable price, i always thought that for industrial use and applications you would have to buy it in drums...
