another problem with my supercub, please look!

hi, i have had my sc for about 3 months now and have had to perservier with it alot, but now i am on the verge of quitting because i face yet another problem.

right, i had a accident a coulple of weeks back, the weak part of the sc just before the tail snapped completely of, i bought some hobby glue and glued it back together, the other day it was very nice so i decided to take it out, i pushed the throttle to full and threw it, instead of it flying away it went straight down into the ground, i was on full battery and the push rods and rudders were perfect. i dont no if it was the recent accident that caused it or not but can anyone help?

thanks

Is it possible the repair to the tail section caused it to be tail-heavy? Did you recheck the CG balance after the repair?

When you post a pic, see if you can do a straight on side shot from the left and right.
That way we have a chance of being able to see if the horizontal stab now has some down incidence built into it after the repair.

You may end up having to fly the cub with significant up trim now?

Just FYI, really tail heavy airplanes tend to stand up like a rocket ship at take off or launch.

Cheers,
James

If it is diving immediately when you toss it, could be one of four things:
1)Either it is nose heavy.
2)You are tossing it too much down angle. Nose should be slightly up when you launch.
3)Motor not powerful enough.
4)You put down thrust into the tail end when you repaired it.

Were the batteries fully charged when you tried it? Lack of battery power means lack of motor power and it won't fly without enough power. Is the prop on securely? If the motor is spinning as strongly as it should, but the prop isn't tight...then you again lose power. Rich

Is the prop on the in the correct direction? When I first tried my hand at R/C I had a 1/2A trainer plane and decided to give it a toss. It preceded to just glide down onto the ground. The prop was flipped over and not creating thrust.
Just a thought.
