I believe it is illegal to send transmitters to this region. Especially right now with the escalation in western Pakistan. A real bummer for anyone intrested in good clean RC fun:(

That wouldn't surprise me, the wrong people could build their own UAV loaded with explosives.

Falcon, I would check on this before trying to order anything. There are plenty of radio sets for sale in the RCU marketplace.

any remote control is the perfect trigger for a roadside bomb. support our troups and DON"T sell or send anything to that region please. BUT we can send our guys planes and stuff :)

Western Pakistan is a real hot zone right now.

Falcons Cuz can do what a lot of us are already doing and order whatever he likes from Hobby City/Hobby King in Hong Kong. They sell radio equipment at 35Mhz and 40Mhz as well as 72Mhz and 2.4Ghz.

As for covering your foam wing, Falcon, you'll simply need some low heat iron-on covering like Top Flite Econokote or something similar. High heat iron-on covering like Monokote or Ultracote/Oracover will require too much heat to adhere to the wing and the heat could melt the foam.

Good luck with your peaceful, recreational RC flying project. Feel free to post more questions as they come up.

Well said, bigedmustafa. We shouldn't let paranoia overcome our ability to give advice.
Falcon, you can order from any of the hobby suppliers that sell radio equipment. They will be quick to let you know if they can't ship to you.
As far as the covering goes, bigedmustafa is right. Low heat covering will work just fine.
Good luck on your build.
