Balancing fuselage

I have the J-3 Piper and a while back I crashed it. I got it fixed now but I think the fixing has made it nose heavy. How do I find the CG and get it balanced again?

Plane should balance level on the thickest part of the wing, the spar.

Not sure what Cub you have, but the original C/G that you checked upon completion of your first build would still be the same one now that you would want to check. Don't quote me here, but the C/G is typically the wing spar. If it is nose heavy by a little bit, you might just be okay. As they say, nose heavy flys again, tail heavy fly's once. Good Luck, Dave

Thanks for the reply. I'l check the paper work that came with the plane and see what it says. Maybe a new prop wouln't hurt anything either. The one I have is sort of bent. The plane came with two but one is broken already. The Piper J-3 I have is the one advertised as the best trainer for $69.95 I believe. It's one of those cheap RTF's. Never mind cheap. It I can master this I can move on to something better.
