I made the jump to a low wing

I flew the covering off my sonic 25 high wing trainer prob 3or 400 flights .till about a month ago, taking chances and being a little to risky, the ground came to close to my plane and well . I thought i would try the sonic low wing 25. At first i didnt like it , i really had to pay attention to this thing in the air it didnt right it self it was faster and i had to bring it in faster and it landed diferent, touchy. I've taken it out about 4days now and about 6 to 8 times each day . I'm starting to really like this plane, I'm more confident with it in the air, approaches and landings are getting much better.

Great to hear, congrats!

I remember my first low wing plane - I thought it was fast, nimble, landed fast, etc. Until I got used to it - then it began to feel like the 'trainer' it really was.

It only gets better from here =)

Oh yeah.. low wing aircraft are different from high wing trainers. And you already noticed the differences and were able to adjust. That's a good thing.

Moderator decree: You will now fly your butt off with anything you desire. Well, almost.. :D

Enjoy your new-found abilities!

A fellow could spend his entire life and fortune chasing after the same thrill as his first low wing airplane !! Enjoy yourself !!

Truer words have never been written!

I may someday build another 4-60, but I won't be the same guy that held off flying it until he was pretty sure he could handle it. It's going to bring back those memories, sure - that's why I have the plans!

Keep flying,
Dave Olson
