I made a very preventable mistake

After putting in a switch and batt. I decided to taxi out in the yard where my lil brother was mowing. After I did some laps, my brother pulls up and says " wana race"[>:]. I pulled beside him and gave it about half throttle. After comin to the end of the yard first I went to turn around. I had a fence on one side and my brother on the other. I turned toward my brother. When I tried to turn, I forgot the this plane has a bigger turning radius when my other plane. My brother told me that he was going in reverse to give me room, well when I tried to turn I gave it a lil to much throttle and I ran right in the inside to the front tire[:@]. Since the was going in reverse, he ran right over on of the prop. After givin it a good look over. I found that the needle valve bracket was bend, easy fix. When I tried to restart to make sure everything was ok, I found that the lil piece that the tube hooks on was broken off in to the tube itself. So the cost of our lil race it a new needle valve. I learned not to do that again:eek:

You got lucky it didn't cost your brother a toe or finger or eye. I'm not trying to be mean, but playing like that is dangerous. The plane could have lifted off, the prop could have thrown a piece at him or you, or God only knows what. Consider yourself lucky that it was just a mechanical loss.

I had the wing off, so it wouldnt take any unplanned flights. The mower rides high and the plane sits a bit low so I dont think this feet where in any real danger.
