This is from Tower.  But it says 40 size so it might just be in the name or description.

The only diffrence I see is the giant is not out yet due late june. And the senior has been out for years, I am thinking about buying one but dont know if I should wait? Do you guys think an OS65LA will be a good engine for it?

If you are in it for a trainer, you might want to consider the LT-40, as I think the Kadets don't have ailerons, but if that is what you want, go for it. Not sure about the Giant part, I think that was added by Tower. Sig's website only lists the Kadet Senior and Seniorita.

beau

The LT 40IS a Kadet. If you meant the Senior doesn't have ailerons, you're right. But............I have a Senior Kadet ARF which does have ailerons. Great trainer.

not understanding you, there are several differences, wing spans, wing area, weight, lengths. or am i looking at the wrong planes?

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBDE9    Giant

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...LXFG19&P=0    LT 40

RE: Whats the diffrence?

There are only two versions of the Kaydet Seniors.     First is the kit version does not build up with ailerons and does not have a plastic cowl and the wingspan is I think two inchs shorter due to slightly different tips at 78 inchs.

Then there is the Arf version that tower is calling the giant.    Virtually the same airplane with the exceptions listed above.     An ideal engine size is in fact a two stroke .61 with the La 65 being a perfect match.

The LT-40 is not the same airplane but a slightly smaller sig offering that is a great trainer but not a Kaydet Senior.       Arguably the Seniors (with or without ailerons)  are the single most successful trainers in the history of RC and the been  in continuous production longer than any other.      They also are possibly the the single most popular kit bashed airplane of all.
