First time on the sticks.
 

Well, I finally got a chance to try my LT-40 on my buddy box (after about a 6 month wait). Now I see why an instructor is so necessary. Last week another member took it up and got all of the trims sorted out, but I forgot about the trims on the buddy box. Anyway, Carl got that straightened out on the first flight last night. I got a chance to practive my dumb thumb routine. The plane was high enough so Carl could take over before the plane destroyed itself. I did learn a little - Like I need a lot of practice. Well, it was fun. One thing was missing - no butterflies - I guess that's what the buddybox is for. Can't wait till Tomorrow night to try again.

just wait until there is no buddy box thats when the fun really starts, and then your first landing, thats when your heart feels like its trying to jump out of your chest, and if its successful you'll be grinning like an idiot for the rest ofthe day.

I can hardly wait. That's what I've been doing since 1976, but it's finally time. Interesting you're from Ireland, my many times removed Grand father came over in 1762 from Galway.
