Cant activate dual elevator...
Hey guys...I recently bought a 7CAP 2.4ghz. I am trying to activate the dual elevator servo function, but cant seem to get it to work. Ive followed the manual...but can only get movement on channel 2....not 6. Any ideas?

RE: Cant activate dual elevator...
i thought you couldnt do dual elevator on a futaba 7c, or at least thats what i heard. i have one, should check it out

RE: Cant activate dual elevator...
you can't. well you can do anything ya want. but the trim doesn't work for the slave channel. Then again maybe they listened to the gripping and added trimming to the slave channel for the 2.4ghz. So let us know, does your trim workhttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...bout_smile.gif

RE: Cant activate dual elevator...
Ive decided to go back to using my futaba servo synchronizer since the speeds werent equal on seperate channels... HOWEVER>.... When Ihad the dual elevator setup through the radio...I WASable to use the trim tab and BOTHservos would trim up or down as ONE unit....and you also had the subtrim for each individual servo. Itriple checked to make sure Iwasnt going crazy....unless maybe I have the only TXin the universe that will do it.

RE: Cant activate dual elevator...
To clarify...you werent able to utilize dual eleavator on the 7 CAP 72mhz. You can on the 2.4ghz....
From futaba sight: <p class="bodybolder">Airplane Advanced Menu:</p><ul>[*]Ailevator feature simplifies dual servo set-ups on elevators[/list]HOWEVER.... from my experience...and only mine...there is still a lag between the two channels....so they've gotten closer...but still havent perfected it. - unless im doing something wrong. RE: Cant activate dual elevator...
cool. i migh look at an upgrade thenhttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...eeth_smile.gif
have you tried playing with the expo for ether channel? Since I wasn't able to do dual elevator thru my 7c 72mhzhttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...ngry_smile.gif I did mine through a y-harness and using a futaba 3001 and a hitec 381? the hitec and futaba servos turn the oposite direction. with some playing around with the linkage go them pretty darn close |
RE: Cant activate dual elevator...
If using the 72 mhz.... you can use either a futaba servo synchronizer(msa-10) or JR matchbox. This will allow you to set equal throws, trim and all. Someone on here is selling the matchbox for $25 EACH - USED
But again..in my experience with the 2.4ghz...i still chose to use the synchronizer because there was a slight lag between the 2 channels using the radio's dual elevator function. If anyone can provide insight on this, please let us know. |
RE: Cant activate dual elevator...
Transmitters simply transmit one channel at a time. Therefore you will have a lag between ANY two channels on ANY radio period. Now, the closer the channels are in the transmission sequece the less noticable the lag will be. The lag between 2 and 5 will obviously be longer than 2 and 3 for instance. The more channels you have the longer the lag between the first and last channel. I've heard that some transmitters will transmit "primary" channels 1-4 or 1-6 twice before they transmit the lesser important (in their opinion) channels.
