What does the (%) mean when referring to rc planes like 37.5%, 40%, 30% Etc…

That refers to the scale size of the plane in regards to the full scale it is modeled after. 40% means that is is 40% of the size of the full scale plane, which is 2/5 the size of the full scale plane. 25% is 1/4 scale of the full size. and so on

I can't explain it very well but it is a percent size of the original, so on a 50% cub if the full size one has a wing span of 42' a 50% one will have a wing span of 21'

If it has a wingspan of 42 feet, it's not a cub.

it the percent scale of the model. It usual refers to large scale aircraft
