New here, hello
Hello all.
I have just registered here after finding this forum and all I can say is, WOW ! So much information and help for beginners like myself. Speaking of help, could anyone tell me how to set wing dihedral on a check six spitfire ? I have graduated from a hobbico select trainer and have been flying a JK Aerotech TA 152 kit. The TA 152 instructions for dihedral were simple to follow by just blocking the wing tips up about 2 5/8 in and gluing to center section. The spitfire however says to just cut a piece of 1/8 in balsa , glue to one wing half, set dihedral and glue to other wing half. The instructions say that dihedral is 8.5 in. I am lost ! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

WELCOME! WELCOME! WELCOME!
Is this the plane? If so it looks like you should place a 1/8 inch block under the spar at one wing tip with the other wing flat on the board. I don't know for sure maybe someone else here has built one of these. I also think that the 8.5 inches you mentioned must be a misprint. http://www.checksixplans.net/spit.htm |

Yes, that's the kit. I will try what you mentioned. The plans did mention something about a 1/8 inch block. I'll read the instructions over another time just to make sure that I didn't miss anything. Thanks for the help.
By the way, what's the easiest way to conceal this hobby from the wife ? HeHe. |

Kill her now. In 10 years you'll be out of jail and free to spend more money on R/C. :D
Disclaimer: This is a joke. It is ONLY a joke. Had I really intended anyone to kill their wife, I would have specified a means, and provided an alibi. Don't try this at home. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, and above all, KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN! |

My buddy had his toys delivered to his daughter's house - then she delivered 'em as 'presents.'

Tell her that you could have other hobbys such as drinking beer at the pub with your mates and chatting up woman.

Conceal it from your wife?....Once I hung up the first one, she knew. Although my signature says it all.
