receiver battery
 
I just purchased a 2000 mah 6v receiver batter. after charging, the volt meter says 7.2 volts....will this mess up my receiver?

i have been using a 6v battery for 6 months on mine and have had no problems at all (futaba 2.4ghz), an best of all servos working quicker, a big difference. wont buy a 4.8v pack again!.

Most receivers can handle 6v batteries with no problem.
There are some servos, mostly digital, that can't. Check the specs on your equipment to be sure.

In case you didn't know, A five cell battery reading 6V could be anywhere from 80% full to almost drained. 6V is the nominal voltage, so the voltage fully charged is around 7V.
