What TX?
Alright i've been thinking. I could save money and just get a standard 4 channel futaba radio with 4 servos for $150. Or i could get a 6 channel that you can use 6 planes on. I'm not sure what their called. The first choice would be cheaper upfront but the second would be cheaper in the future. If i got the first one i would have to buy a new transmitter when i get an bigger more sophisticated plane with more channels. So my question is. Should i get the first choice or save up and get the second? (I'm thinking second) and could anyone give my any good links to a 6 channel radio.

I would go with the second one!
I would suggest a computrized radio like the flash 5! It's only $172 at servocity with the following!: Flash 5 SX Standard FM System $172.95 #155721 Status: In-Stock Flash 5 SX FM Transmitter Transmitter NiCads & Charger Super Slim 8-Ch Receiver (4) HS-422 Servos 600mah Rx Battery Pack Servo Extension The servos are also pretty good -Nik |

impulse, I don't believe the Laser 6 has multilple-model memory, so I wouldn't suggest that one. Futaba just came out with a nice, entry level 6 channel system with 6 model memory I believe....it's the 6EX or something like that...it's only around $175 or so at www.towerhobbies.com

The Laser 6 is not a computerized radio!

Yeah if you have a normal glow plane that needs standard servos you need this one:

Computer radio Plus you get an extra S3004 Ball Bearing Servo thrown in for free with any Futaba 4,6,9 channel transmitter now. So you get the radio for 179.00 Minus the $15.00 Plus an extra free S3004 servo Sounded like a pretty good deal to me so I took it. |

I don't think you can beat that deal on the futaba. Good radios! If I were buying in that price range, I would be ordering that radio.

That's a fantastic deal Borzak! With the features that radio has, I don't know how it can be beat in that price range....it seems like an amazing bargain (even before the $15 off and free servo!)

go with the 6 channel one. They are called 6x. There is another one called the 8u. It is overkill when starting out, but when you get into flaprons and want to name your models, and expand your model memory, it is a better radio. one simple thing is the display on the 6x is not much different from your microwave's display. the 8u actually has segments. i bought a 6x to start out with, and sold it 2 years later
