wont turn??

I have a 55 ax in my hangar 9 breitling i had a bad landing and had to take the cowl off to repair when i put it all back after tightening the prop the motor wont budge i was afraid some how the engine was hurt, but dont see how so i took the muffler and plug out and its clean as can be with no prop i can spin it with my fingers and it will turn it if i tighten the prop just slightly but as soon as i tighten the prop it locks! its a tru turn spinner and im installing the same way it previously was am i missing something simple or do i have troubles???

There is a thin/small washer behind the prop drive hub. It often falls off without being seen. If missing it will do what you are saying. It would be item 10 in this drawing http://downloads.hobbico.com/evpl/osm/ev15610.pdf

Yeah, that washer should be the first thing mentioned whenever anyone has problems with O.S. engines.

Sure. Either where you least expect it to be OR somewhere that you can't reach or get it out from... :D

It's a known fact that if you have a flat tire, at night, and opt to change it yourself, you will accidentally kick one of the lug nuts and it will roll under the car to a point that is exactly in the center.

Those are easily found after purchasing a new one.

Try looking around where you took it apart, but thats just a guess. You could go to www.ask.com and try them.

Joco,
I'm guessing it will be with all of the socks that went missing from your clothes dryer.
Good Luck,
