US 40 retracts

I'm having trouble setting up the retracts in my Ultra Sport 40. They open and close all the way, except they only need about 90 degrees of movement, but the servo wants to move 180. I can't figure out what to do to make it not drain the power out of the battery. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Adjust the distance between the pushrod and the center of the servo arm so that 180degrees of travel works out to be the same distance as 90degrees on the retract.

If you can't find an arm that has the right amount of throw, you can use one of those big black wheels where you can drill your own holes.

crash guy,

that is a great idea but if he is using the futaba retract servo then this is not an option. I'm not sure about JR, but the futaba servo is not proportional, by this meaning that you flip a switch and the servo moves from one endpoint to the other, these endpoints being non-adjustable. It's probably the same with the other manufacturers.

Thanks!

Thanks for the tips guys. The pics really help out, and I think I know what to do now. Once again, thanks.
