Stuck aileron
The right aileron on my new Parkzone T-28D Trojan is stuck in the up position. I have no idea why and can't figure out how to get it to move again. I was just flying this afternoon and had no issues with it. I'm stumpped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was supposed to meet up with a friend of mine tomorrow morning to fly but if I can't figure this out that's not going to happen.
|

RE: Stuck aileron
There is a good chance that one of gears in the servo has been stripped. That type of damage can be caused by a crash or if the control surface has been bumped which applies too much pressure through the push rod and control horn to the servo causing the travel to exceed the normal range of the servo resulting in the gear(s) to strip.

RE: Stuck aileron
Thanks. i still went out with my friend this morning- he's got a bit more eperience with R/C flying than I do so I figured he might be able to help me troubleshoot... The only thing he can think of is the servo is bad. There's still power going to it, it just doesn't move...even after switing up the connections on the Y-fitting to the reciever i get the same input. Since I've only had the model for 18 days i should be able to warranty it out and get a replacement. Too bad. I really wanted to fly this morning. It was PERFECT weather too.
|
