newbie in search of help
 

I recently bought the exceed piper j3 cub. After a number of tries getting it to fly I finally perused the forums looking for help and found out the you can't just throw it and control up (oops haha). Today I finally got a flight out of it and realized I made a good choice in a new hobby. that is until it took a 40ft. nose dive and crushed into many, many little pieces of foam. I hope to stay in the hobby for a long time and i was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a website that actually has the fuselage and props in stock for it. ive looked many places and can't find anything. any help anyone can give my would be much appreciated. also any opinions on other good beginner planes would be helpful also.

Well, first, your avatar says "Ill, USA." That does not tell us much about where you are. The point of this is to try to direct you to someone that can definitely help you out. That would be a club with some experienced people that could.. would.. point out what you are doing wrong and steer you in the right direction.

So, help us out, here.. let us help you. Give us more to go on here.

sorry i just changed it to say moline, illinois. i know there is a club around here but i never thought about looking it up since im so new.

CG, Did not get all the cubs in the air. It was IFR most of the day. This is what it looked like most of the morning

A club is worth 10 times the price of dues for new flyers, for the reason just given. An instructor will show you how to fly correctly the first time, saving you the trouble of repairing and replacing equipment. As for parts, have you checked with the vendor you bought the airplane from?

For good beginner airplanes, check the sticky about trainers at the top of the beginner's forum. Cubs aren't bad because they are slow, but there are planes that are significantly easier to fly and more forgiving.

Get the Hanger 9 Alpha 60 ARF best <font color="#000000">trainer</font> for the money i've seen. I have one and still fly it today when I want something slow and easy. It's a great plane. Have fun, Lanny
