I'd like to find out who here has a Twitter account. Good tweets sent out from those who are building, flying, etc would be great to follow.

If you have a Twitter ID, post it up.

I'm on Twitter: @ChuckW93612 but I rarely am on there these days. I tend to use Facebook more.

I do all my twittering in RCUniverse.

Sounds to me like you're trying to promote twitter.com if you ask me.

Thanks for your value added post. I have no interest in promoting Twitter. But, unless you've had your head under a rock for a while, you'd see that Twitter is getting quite popular. Another way of sharing the hobby is never a bad thing.

What can Twitter do that RCUniverse cannot do better? I'm asking because I don't know anyone that uses Twitter.

One is no substitute for the other; they are two very different things.

The purpose is not to try to substitute. The purpose is to add. Twitter is more passive than RCU. Many people will post on Twitter when out at the field in real time, when they see something cool, etc. Those following can receive automatic updates inside of their Twitter suite without having to actively go and seek information.

For example, I follow many full scale pilots who will post pics from their Iphones in real time when flying or when seeing a cool airplane, etc.

For those who don't like Twitter, no big deal. I was primarily looking for those who do like it and to form a list from which others could gather high quality folks to follow.

I see what bryris is trying to get at. Sounds like he's just looking for people who post updates about their builds or flying on Twitter. Give the guy a break.
