To solder or crimp

see the pictures below. These are male bullets 3.5mm that have what looks like black shrink tubing already installed. It seems like you cannot remove them. Do I crimp this or will in fact the black tubing slide off. Thanks, got talked into trying some indoor electric and like the dummy I am, I said OK.

Thats odd, i've never seen them sold like that before.. I'd normally solder bullet plugs.. however, what is under that shrink wrap? Is it wire or open hollow and cylindrical. If its wire I'd cut out the heat shrink remove the wire thats inside of the plug and put my own in.. If it's the other way then its probably designed to be crimped.

yes can any body help i just purchased a flight kit from tower hobbies. i need to change the servo horns or arms noy sure what they are called? the servos are s3004 servoes for the arelons sorry about the spelling a single arm horn

I just googled Great Planes and these are connectors that the motor 2mm plugs into and the 3.5mm end plugs into the ESC. Wrong part.

I am going to return them to the LHS and get the proper ones. They were picked up for my by a friend. (Hummmmmmm!!! maybe he is not a friend, ya think)[sm=72_72.gif]

those are adapter plugs not plugs you crimp/solder
