To solder or crimp

see the pictures below. These are male bullets 3.5mm that have what looks like black shrink tubing already installed. It seems like you cannot remove them. Do I crimp this or will in fact the black tubing slide off. Thanks, got talked into trying some indoor electric and like the dummy I am, I said OK.

Thats odd, i've never seen them sold like that before.. I'd normally solder bullet plugs.. however, what is under that shrink wrap? Is it wire or open hollow and cylindrical. If its wire I'd cut out the heat shrink remove the wire thats inside of the plug and put my own in.. If it's the other way then its probably designed to be crimped.

It is open. Really looks like it is suppose to be crimped.

I just googled Great Planes and these are connectors that the motor 2mm plugs into and the 3.5mm end plugs into the ESC. Wrong part.

Take this to a NEW thread.

And supply more details.

What "flight kit" did you purchase?

Please give the link to the web site item.

For what plane?

Why do you need to change the horns?

If you have bare wire, this what you need to solder them to that will slip into those plugs - 2mm male bullet connectors. About 3/4 of the way down on this page:
