Which brand standard servos are compatible with a spektrum 2.4 rx?

Thanks

All modern name brand servos are compatible. If you get Futaba servos they have a small tab on the connector that needs to be cut off in order to use them, but that only takes a couple of seconds with a pair of diaganol cutters to snip it off. Other than that, all current name brand servos will work. There are older Airtronics servos that have the polarity reversed in the wiring, but you can tell those as they have black connector plugs on them. The current Airtronics servos have a blue "Z" plug and are completely compatible with your receiver.

Whoever told you that Spektrum is only compatible with JR was probably thinking of transmitter/receiver compatibility and said 'servos' by mistake.

You do need to keep your servo arms organized if you have multiple servo brands because the shafts can vary slightly in size and the number of splines varies. I do not know if any are interchangable. If you keep the extras bagged by brand it's easy to keep it straight.
