You can use the battery in the Hobbico eletrastar EP trainer.

What was your first plane? and what happened to it?
Do you have a simulator?
Do you have a club instructor or any experienced pilot to help you?

The slow stick is a great flying plane if set up correctly, powered correctly, and in the hands of a somewhat experienced pilot.

In the absence of a simulator and instructor, I would suggest you get rid of that battery and get a Hobbyzone Super Cub LP.

If that slow stick is repairable, ditch that Nimh battery and get a a 3 cell, 1200mah zippy Lipo from Hobbycity.com. It will be a totaly different plane.;)
