Got my AMA membership for the year, and the SIG King Kobra I wanted. didnt get the parkzone bnf Sukoi tho:( lol. Im plenty happy with what i got. its more about what i could give anyway. Got my girl a promise ring (lol she dont get the real one till after im outta school and have a job lol)

I got my Magnum 91 4 stroke and an Ipod Nano.. Now I can jam while I build. I got my 19 yr old stepson a ParkZone Aerobird 3. He came to the field with me a few weeks ago to watch me fly for the first time. He had such a good time my wife and I surprised him with the model. He loves it. We will go out together next weekend to fly for the first time. It's taken alot of years to get to this point with my step kids. But I would honestly have to say that this Christmas has been very special. We have come together as a family and there is nothing I would want more. Its so cool. The Magnum is cool too. I have already mounted it. Pics will show up in my build thread over the next few days. It sure is pretty. Happy Cristmas.

My son was able to come home for Christmas from Iraq only trouble is he's in Ohio and were in Tennessee and can't get there by the first of Jan when he leaves. But am glad he made it home to be with his wife and kids.
My gifts were great, got a Great Planes Escapade, centering devise for mounting engines, misc wiring and switches for the new plane, a new hat to keep my bald head warm, a new pocket knife from my son and the grandkids and several family gifts, one is a camping scrapbook my wife's cousin made for us with the history of all our joint camping trips; she and her husband live in Houston and we meet them half way between here in Jackson, TN and Houston every year at least once. My older son that still lives with us got the best gift, he wil receive two new knees on the 7th of Jan. He has been in serious pain for several years now and this should eliminate or drastically rerduce it. All in all it was a good Christmas. Gary |

Gary thats great to hear about both your sons. And on a side note I garentee you'll love that escapade. I have a grin from ear to ear i think everytime it leaves the ground.

I got a new son-in-law for Christmas. My oldest daughter was married on Christmas eve.....I had to give her away......It was the most difficult thing I have ever done......

The only thing cool i got was a seagull models Edge 540 .46 size that is going to be electric. has a 59" wingspan. she looks beautiful

I've been flying 9+ years now and I have NEVER received anything R/C related just like this Christmas. Hahahahaha,,,maybe my next wife will get the picture. Go figure. :eek:

Well aside from a great day spent with my family I got a shrike .10 kit and my Dad got a greatplanes 1/4 scale spacewalker.Merry Christmas too all .

Park Flyers Decathalon. My Feet Hurt From The Legos On The Floor. Oh I forgot about the army men. They hurt too. My son has enough to storm Normandy again.

I did end up getting a nice Tower Hobbies gift certificate, a Home Depot gift card and some miscellaneous little things. I am absolutely stuffed too. All in all, it has been a great Christmas, not just because of gifts either. |

I got a vq pc6 porter and a world models sky raider mk II, but thanks to Ken for sending all that lovely weather this way, I'll have a real nice paycheck with 43hrs of overtime and counting. 21hrs at double time and 24+ at time and a half, I see santa making another stop,[sm=wink_smile.gif] thanks Ken

ORIGINAL: RCKen Well, I had an interesting Christmas this year. Being that my son is a senior in high school and will start college next year this was special to both me and my wife to spend it all together as a family. So that made it a great day. But we got another ''treat'' yesterday. Oklahoma was treated to a TRUE white christmas (most of our white christmases are usually just ice), we got about 8 inches of snow but exact amounts of snow are hard to measure because 60 mph winds yesterday blew most of the snow into drifts. We even had a blizzard warning for most of the day. But having a real white christmas was a gift in itself. The only bad part was my Dish mount blew over in the wind and damaged the feed horns on the dish, so I'll have to deal with that next week. The dish falling over was another small gift in itself. With no TV we instead hunkered down in the living room last night and watch a small christmas marathon...... Miracle on 34th Street, It's A Wonderful Life, and then the ULTIMATE christmas movie...... A Christmas Story (You'll shoot your eye out!!!!!!) So, on to the stuff!!!!! I got 2 new 16 GB SD cards for my camera (yeah, now I can get an entire day of shooting on one card!!!!0 The RC stuff I knew about before I tore any paper off. I've been hunting a kit for a bit and a flying buddy had one, so santa was kind enough to take it off of his hands. Sig 4-Star 120 kit!!!! (yes, kit!!!!! no ARF's here) Of course a plane like needs a good power plant. Santa took a small detour to Bob's Hobby Center in Orlando (Steven and Julie Thomas are great friends of ours) to find a power-plant for the Sig beast. MLD-28 gasser engine for the plane. Of course, any dad knows that he's got to refresh his sock and underwear each year at this time. And Santa didn't disappoint there either. Top that off with a new coffee mug and a hat from the OSU (Oklahoma State University) which starting next year will be seeing a healthy part of our income next year in exchange for the privilege of our son visiting their hallowed hall!!! And my annual box of chocolate covered cherries rounded out the gits under tree. So, I'm hoping to clear some review projects from the building boards in hopes of getting the new 4-Star flyable by this spring. Over all just being with my family at this time of year was the biggest gift I could have received. This year has been hard for most around the country and it really gives you a dose of reality knowing what's the most important thing in the world. All the ''stuff'' doesn't come close to having friends and family to share your life with!!!!! ;) I hope everybody else had a great day as well. Ken i got a ultra sport .60 and microsoft sidewinder x6 backlight keyboard, i love them both (i bought em both) i built a compy for my family to replace a old hp. they cant complain but my wallet can. o well its only money...feels great to give a little. |

My wife gave me a new G5 realflight simulator as I wore the old one out he he he , going to the sharks / ducks hocky game tonight and see my nefew after the game , he plays for the ducks #19 Ryan Whitney......Merry Christmas everybody!!!!
