CAD For Models Recomendation Please
I am a beginner for all practicall pruposes, but did a lot of building in the fifties and some flying. I am more of builder than a flyer. I am looking for a good CAD Ststem for designing and using available plans. Scaleing, tiling, ability of import airfoils etc are important. Also there may be some things that I have not thought of.
Please make your recomendations and if you happen to have a web site that would even be better. Thank you in advance. JakeInHarsel |

Bah!!
Inventor!! the best 3d modeling software!! (Actually, mech desktop is.. buyt we've switched over to Inventor and I miss Mech desktop soooooo much!) No, there are a few out there, that are 'model specific'.. You can't go wrong with Autocad, as they are one of teh most recognized out there.. And trainig can be gfound at just about any college. But all that involves a cost.. I wouldn't go for one of the 'industry CAD' programs if it's just a hobby thing.... |

Thanks for the help
Every one seems to have a different idea. I bought a copy of TurboCAD and it seems to work fine. I may start monitoring Ebay to see if i can find a copy of AutoCAD at a reasonableprice as it has some features that I would like to have.
